Privacy notice
How Interview Practice Platform handles your information. Version 1.
What is collected
Your name and email address, and your role (learner, instructor or administrator), so we can sign you in and show you the right screens.
The words you speak during a practice interview. The audio is processed to turn it into text and is then discarded; we keep the text transcript and the feedback and scores written about your answers.
Your camera, if you choose to use it, is analysed on your own device only. No video or image is ever sent to our servers or stored. Only a few summary numbers (for example how often you looked toward the camera) are kept with your results, and you can switch the camera off at any time.
Simple technical records such as when an interview started and ended.
How it is used
To run the practice interview, show you your transcript and feedback, and let your instructors see how learners are progressing.
If you are added to a class, you share your results for the courses assigned to that class with that class’s instructor.
To keep the service secure and working. It is not used for admissions, grading or hiring decisions, and the feedback is AI-generated and indicative only.
Where it is stored
Account details, transcripts and scores are stored on servers run by the service provider. [Owner: confirm hosting location.]
While an interview is running, your voice and the transcript are sent to third-party AI processors that provide speech recognition, speech generation and language models, so they can turn speech into text, write the interviewer’s replies and draft your feedback.
How long it is kept
Interview transcripts and AI-written feedback are removed automatically 90 days after the interview. What remains is the interview record (date, status, course and class), the summary numbers kept with it (speech statistics and the few camera summary numbers) and the aggregate counts used for usage statistics. Accounts are kept until an administrator removes them.
You can delete one of your own interviews at any time from its results page.
No use for AI training
Your recordings, transcripts and feedback are not used to train AI models.
Our AI processors are used only to provide the service to you, and we ask them not to retain your data or train on it. This is a request made in each call, which the providers are asked to honour; it is not something we can verify.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.
You may stop using the service at any time. If you do not agree to this notice you can sign out without using the service.
